Assistant Coding Teacher

Assistant Coding Teacher – Part-time – Amsterdam Area

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Coding Teacher to join our team. As an Assistant Coding Teacher, you will work closely with our coding teacher to support and assist in conducting coding classes for students. You will contribute to creating a positive learning environment, helping students develop coding skills, and fostering their passion for technology.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist the lead coding teacher in planning and delivering coding lessons to students.
  • Provide individual and group assistance to students during coding activities and projects.
  • Help students understand coding concepts and troubleshoot any coding-related issues.
  • Support students in using coding tools and software effectively.
  • Assist in evaluating and providing feedback on student work and progress.
  • Collaborate with the members of the team to develop engaging coding activities and projects.
  • Stay updated with the latest coding trends and educational resources.


Knowledge and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Knowledge of coding languages such as Python/Java/ JavaScript/C.
  • Experience with coding tools and platforms like Scratch /Code.org /Thunkable / Pictoblox.
  • Passion for teaching and working with students of diverse age groups (Ages 6 to 12).
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Patience and ability to explain complex coding concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Prior experience in teaching coding is preferable but not mandatory.

  • Skills managing kids from 4 years old till 12 years old
  • Fluent in spoken and written English


Working hours:

  • Variable hours between 6 to 10 hrs. per week
  • Afternoon timings (after school hours)


What do we offer:

  • 2 months of training period
  • Salary range: €12 to €20 per hour based upon experience 
  • Travel allowance (when applicable)
