General Terms & Conditions (Regular Classes)


The general terms and conditions below sets the expectations between the caregivers and eduBridge. 


1. Invoicing:

 

  • Invoices are issued to caregivers on or before the start of a month.
  • Payment term is 7 days, from invoice issue date.
  • Invoice amount should be paid on monthly basis.
  • Invoices are pro-rated to exclude national holidays, summer holidays, winter holidays and 3 week-long school holidays (early spring holidays, spring holidays and autumn holidays).
  • In the event of non-payment of the invoice during the month, eduBridge reserves the right to refuse the pickup of child from the following month. In such an event, all unpaid invoices must be paid before the pickup is resumed.

 


2. Termination notice:

 

  • Caregivers and / or eduBridge can terminate this contract after serving a notice of 1 full calendar month.
  • This contract stands terminated at the end of academic session.

 


3. Working days and holidays:

 

  • eduBridge works during after school hours. eduBridge’s working hours are spread across different locations, and not all hours are available on all locations. Latest details on working hours per location are available at eduBridge’s website.
  • eduBridge follows Dutch national school holiday calendar (https://www.rijksoverheid.nl/onderwerpen/schoolvakanties/overzicht-schoolvakanties-per-schooljaar). Additional holidays include:
  • 1 day for Diwali (Indian festival).
  • 3 weeks during winter holidays, rather than 2 weeks.
  • eduBridge offers special camp during the week long school holidays (early spring holidays, spring holidays and autumn holidays). The arrangement of this camp is discussed explicitly with the caregivers.

 

4. Communication to and from eduBridge:

 

  • eduBridge’s preferred mode of communication is a phone call. Please save eduBridge’s contact numbers in your contact list.
  • For matters needing immediate attention, caregivers can call from 10:00 to 18:30 on working days.
  • If not immediately answered, eduBridge will return your call within 1 working day.
  • eduBridge’s preferred mode of offline communication is WhatsApp. Caregivers can expect response within 5 days.


5. Pickup from school:

 

  • eduBridge picks up children from their respective schools as soon as the school closes and brings them their chosen location. This is pre-agreed with the caregivers as per eduBridge's discretion, and is generally based on the school closing time, distance from location and whether its reachable by foot or by taxi.
  • Children are picked up by supervisors / tutors whose details are communicated to caregivers and school prior to the pickup. Under no circumstances, eduBridge sends an unfamiliar supervisors / tutor to pickup the children from school.
  • Caregivers are responsible to communicate any pickup related changes to the school.   


6. Pickup from eduBridge:

 

  • eduBridge's closing hours varies per location. Latest details on closing hours per location are available at eduBridge’s website.
  • Caregivers are expected to pickup their children within 15 minutes of closing times.
  • If caregivers are not able to pickup their children within these times, they must inform eduBridge via phone call.
  • If caregivers fail to pickup their children within these times on multiple occasions, eduBridge reserves the right to charge an additional fees @ € 10.00 / 10 mins. 

 

7. Quality of tuition at eduBridge:

 

  • eduBridge is an after school club and not a replacement of the concepts taught at school.
  • eduBridge utilizes after school time to support child’s school homework, and explain and practice the concepts as per their individual level. As every child is different, results may vary.
  • eduBridge strives to match the lesson plans and teaching methodology of the schools and tries to stay as close as possible to it; however, it is not always feasible to make a 100% match given the different sections, different schools and time spend at eduBridge. 

 

8. Vacation and sickness:

 

  • In the event of vacation or sickness, please provide a prior notice of 24-hours to eduBridge. No exchange or replacement day will be provided in such an event.
  • eduBridge informs the caregivers if their child becomes sick while at eduBridge. In such situations, caregivers must pickup their child ASAP.
  • In an unforeseen event e.g. sick tutor, eduBridge provides an alternative to pickup the child from school and engage them playfully. eduBridge will make alternate arrangement and inform the caregivers and caregivers are requested to communicate this to school to avoid any difficulty during pickup.


9. Reports and feedback:

 

  • eduBridge does not require and never asks for child’s school report in any form. Caregivers are, however, free to share and / or discuss the same as per their own wish.
  • If shared and / or discussed, the school reports are treated with full confidentiality; and never shared with anyone else.
  • eduBridge believes in regular face-2-face feedback to the caregivers to track child’s progress. eduBridge reserves the right to report progress via emails when explicitly requested.
  • Caregivers are free to contact eduBridge via all possible means to get feedback / discuss child’s progress. However, elaborate discussions are generally preferred outside the pickup times.


10. Coronavirus clause:

 

  • eduBridge will follow the Dutch national guidelines on Coronavirus issued by RIVM.
  • In an unfortunate event that a child get sick from Coronavirus while attending classes at eduBridge, under no circumstances can eduBridge be held responsible for it.
  • In an unfortunate event that any of caregiver's family member gets sick from Coronavirus, caregivers are expected to follow the Dutch national guidelines on Coronavirus issued by RIVM.
  • In an unfortunate event that eduBridge's teachers get sick from Coronavirus, eduBridge will try alternate arrangements, but eduBridge reserves the right to request caregivers to pickup the children.
  • In an unforeseen event (force majeure), eduBridge reserves the right to switch to online mode of education. This will be pre-informed to the caregivers, when applicable.


11. Miscellaneous:

 

  • eduBridge must be informed if caregiver's residential address or contact number or email address changes.
  • In an unfortunate event when a child damages the property and / or eduBridge's premises, eduBridge reserves the right to claim the damages (in full or in part) by the child's caregivers.
  • eduBridge does not provide lunch or snacks. Caregivers should provide this for their child, if / when required. eduBridge reserves the right to request food restrictions if their rental contract mandates them to do so.
